Side table - Wood - Chippy Heath telephone bench

This special piece of furniture was designed at the time as a compact telephone table for the hallway. It consists of a telephone table with an open storage compartment and an extendable, upholstered seat, which after use can be slid back almost entirely under the furniture.

A particularly original detail is the retractable “Memory Slide” for noting names and phone numbers. It is still present and in very neat, unused condition. The original Chippy Telephone Seats label is also present in the furniture.

The piece features gracefully shaped side panels, slim legs, and original metal details. The combination of dark wood and light upholstery gives the furniture an elegant Mid-Century look.

Condition:
Very neat vintage condition, especially considering its age. The wood and construction have been nicely preserved. The Memory Slide is particularly clean and unused. See the photos for a good impression of the condition; they form part of the description.
