Description from the seller
GENERAL INFORMATION:
For sale this Fiat 130, a splendid flagship that offers a perfect blend of period luxury, excellent road holding and a powerful, responsive driving experience. The car has been meticulously cared for, comes with rich documentation and is ready to be inserted into any collection or used for the pure pleasure of driving.
BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:
The car was completely repainted in 2021 in its original Fiat 680 color. All parts showing rust were carefully repaired by welding, and the entire restoration process is extensively documented by the attached photographs. The paintwork today is in excellent condition, with no rust and only minor age-related defects, clearly visible in the images. The car still retains its original charming black plates.
MECHANICS & TECHNICAL ASPECTS:
From a mechanical standpoint the car runs very well, starts easily and idles correctly. The engine is powerful, responsive and offers excellent torque. Handling, brakes, road grip and ride comfort are also excellent. The automatic transmission operates correctly and gears engage regularly without particular jerks, with only minor oil leaks compatible with the age and type of component.
A very important and thorough overhaul and replacement work has been carried out on the car, which eliminates the need for immediate interventions. The timing belt, water pump with the related gaskets for the thermostat valve and various hoses were replaced.
The carburetor has been completely rebuilt and valve settings have been performed. The electrical and ignition system has seen the starter motor and distributor revised, in addition to replacing plug leads, spark plugs, and the voltage regulator. For the transmission, the belleville/pulmoncino and the support of the automatic transmission were replaced, the drive shaft balanced with the replacement of the U-joints, bearing and rear support.
The braking system has been updated with a complete overhaul of the front and rear calipers, new pipes and pads, while new shock absorbers were installed at the front. Finally, the fuel tank has been cleaned, the float replaced and a dual electric fuel pump installed. All fluids (differential oil, transmission oil, brake fluid and coolant) have been replaced. All invoices for parts and the maintenance history are available.
INTERIORS:
The interiors are completely original and kept in very good condition. Only small defects on the front seats are noted, visible in the attached photos. Inside there is a vintage modification on the central glove compartment, where a control panel for operating accessories was added using components exclusively compatible with the era of the car. In any case, the original central glove compartment is also provided with the car for potential factory configuration restoration.
DOCUMENTATION:
The car is accompanied by an extraordinarily rich and rare paper documentation set, ideal for collectors. It includes the original owner's manual, the original paper maintenance manual, the Historic Significance Certificate (CRS) and a summary certificate of all previous owners.
The documentation also includes the original period brochure, the complete binder with the presentation brochure, the very rare brochure titled "Fiat 130 i 44 punti della sua sicurezza" and the original document holder. The tow hitch is regularly registered in the vehicle registration.
PICKUP:
For this vehicle seller does not offer shipping. The car must be collected in person by the buyer or arranged and planned in advance with the seller before transport.
OTHER INFORMATION:
This Fiat 130 stands out for a rich set of optional features of the era that increase its value and comfort. The car is equipped with Frigette air conditioning, four power windows, chromed Unielektra electric mirrors, Carello front fog lights and a rear fog light.
The audio system includes an Autovox Melody radio from the Azzurra line with a cassette player, complete with its original dedicated fascia for the Fiat 130 and an electric antenna. The package is completed by the dual fuel pump and a convenient internal control for manual fan ignition. A unique opportunity to purchase an Italian flagship ready for travel.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
