Antique Gilded Carved Wooden Frame with a Tortiglione (twisted rope) Motif – Baroque / Classic Style, 19th Century
Elegant rectangular period frame in solid wood, finely carved, characterized by refined gold leaf (antique gold finish). The structure features rich classic moulding with a distinctive and pronounced tortiglione (or braided rope) motif along the entire outer profile, giving great movement and three-dimensional depth to the piece. The linear inner battuta makes it perfect for housing period paintings, antique prints, or for transforming it into a precious designer mirror. The back is preserved with the original metal ring for wall hanging. The item is in generally good preserved condition, with a beautiful natural patina of age and very slight signs of wear on the gilding that attest to its authenticity and age. Solid and sound construction.
