Empire pronk inkstand from Amsterdam (1817) in silver (833/1000), weighing 1918.1 g and measuring 15.5 × 30.7 × 18.2 cm, in good used condition with minor signs of age and spots, bearing lion passant 2, Minerva A, an unclear master mark and year letter H.
Description from the seller
Description: An Empire display-model ink set, executed with sleek decorations, including fluting and fillet edges. The top with claw feet contains two holders with removable lids containing blue-glass holders with silver mounts, one with a sprinkling cap (sand shaker) and one for ink. In the middle of the top is a holder with removable lid and inside a cup for lacquer. There is also a horizontal holder on the top for a writing quill. Magnificent, elegant, and large in scale.
