About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensitivity.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works subtly and with strong visual impact address topics such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to merge classical influences with a modern language, yielding versatile, fresh and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value.
Shipping and presentation:
The work will be carefully packaged by a professional and sent in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. Shipments are carried out through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx or Correos Spain, depending on the destination and the most convenient option for each case.
The estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country.
The sculpture depicts the pop queen, Madonna, in a serene and elegant pose, gently holding a pearl necklace and elaborately crafted with blocks and chips of stony appearance. The piece establishes a deep connection with Kintsugi—the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics by joining their fragments with gold lacquer to honor their history—by allowing intense threads of warm golden light to emanate through the pronounced cracks that traverse her chest and torso. Instead of camouflaging fragility or the passage of time behind a glamorous myth, the brilliant fissures expose her human strength and resilience, turning the artist’s wounds and metamorphosis into the very soul of the work and showing that true beauty lies in embracing and celebrating each restored fracture.
