Description from the seller
Fossilised mammoth tusk - Mammuthus primigenius
Very nice part of a tusk, in good condition
Very heavy and beautiful section, 26 cm long and a circumference of only 28 cm
Very nice part probably from the tip of a young mammoth tusk
This tusk has been desalinated and is still in clean water, everyone conserves it in their own way, and I’m happy to leave that choice to the next owner
Doggerland no longer exists, but traces of it can still be found on the beaches of the North Sea. It happens regularly that walkers, enthusiasts and researchers find something special there
Wonderous treasures such as a mammoth tooth. Even in dredged sand flats and in fishing nets bones are brought to the surface, as is the case with this one in early 2025
