Monumental pair of heavy bronze altar candlesticks with putti
Impressive and very decorative pair of heavy bronze altar candlesticks, executed in a rich, gold-toned bronze patina. The candlesticks are richly decorated in a pronounced Baroque style and form a beautiful symmetrical pair.
Central on each candlestick is a finely worked putto, placed against a richly ornamented column. Around them are graceful scroll ornaments, acanthus leaves and floral decorations. The top ends in a characteristic, flaring candle holder with richly designed ornamentation.
The imposing bases are also richly decorated with volutes, leaf motifs and openwork details. The combination of heavy bronze, refined ornamentation and playfully worked putti gives the pair a very monumental and luxurious appearance.
This concerns two exceptionally heavy and solidly crafted candlesticks, which work particularly well as religious objects as well as in a classic, historical or eclectic interior. Due to their size, weight and rich detailing they are striking decorative objects that immediately draw attention.
