Beautiful and original midcentury-modern coat rack.
The coat rack consists of a dark gray lacquered steel frame with five rosewood boards on top. On each board is mounted a nicely designed aluminum coat rack hanger, which itself consists of three hooks, two small and one large.
Dimensions (W x H): 80 x 30 cm. The depth including the hooks is 12 cm.
Weight is approx. 3 kg.
The piece was likely made in the Netherlands, in the 1950s-1960s, and is in nice used condition. The boards are made of plywood with a rosewood veneer top layer, showing a beautiful wood grain and a warm reddish-brown color. The steel frame is dark gray lacquered. The hooks are made of anodized aluminum.
At the back of the steel frame, openings have been made on the left and right sides to hang the coat rack flush against the wall, so the clean lines of the design remain undisturbed.
The coat rack shows only very minor signs of use. It is neat, clean, and ready for use. The rosewood has been treated with nourishing furniture oil.
