Art Nouveau gilded brass table lamp base

Description:
Elegant Art Nouveau-era table lamp base in gilded patinated brass. The design is typical of the organic movement of the Belle Époque, characterized by an open tripod base with sinuous lines evoking waves or vines. The fluted shaft rises toward a two-branched lyre surmounted by a dome (baleère/chenile cap) carved in the shape of a corolla of flowers with gadrooned petals. The upper dome is equipped with its 3 original screws allowing to accommodate and fix a tulip, a shell, or a glass paste shade (not supplied).

Condition:
Good used condition, with signs of aging and minor defects (glassware missing).
Structure: good overall condition for its age. Very nice original patina with light traces of natural oxidation that attest to its authenticity. No major deformation. Hollow base with no visible mark or signature, typical of artistic castings of this period. Electrical: includes a brown braided fabric cord, a switch and a European plug (see photos). The brass socket is ready to receive a standard screw-in bulb.
