Picture clock - Antique Wood, Brass - 1880-1920

From the estate of a deceased clockmaker, a large Black Forest-style painted clock with a painting under glass on the dial. The clock runs perfectly and has a gong strike. On the dial there are three images of southern German landscapes: at the top some houses along a river, at the bottom a village with a peddler and a riverscape. There is minimal paint loss and/or damage to the painting. The clock is considerably larger than an average painted clock; the height is 37 cm and the width is 31 cm. The clock is equipped with the cast-iron weights characteristic for this type of clock. The door hangs, not obstructively, slightly crooked and can possibly be reset/re-fastened.
