These extremely rare transformations were described by Lecoq and Lacroix.

Transforming into lussatite during the Oligocene and the early Miocene, i.e., a few million years ago.

This is a piece of very high caliber; these transformations are among the most sought-after French pieces, with very few specimens on matrix having been released.

Fluorescent in blue under short-wave UV, an incredible effect of the lussatite (opal CT).
