Very decorative set of two matching table lamps from GL, manufactured in Spain. The lamps stand out due to their generous ceramic base, elegant design, and warm, atmospheric appearance.
The two pieces together form a beautiful symmetric pair and fit perfectly on a sideboard, on both sides of a bed, on two side tables, or as mood lighting in a living or bedroom.
Design and execution
The lamp bases are finished in a soft cream/ivory color and feature an elegant vertical relief. The lines flow smoothly from the broad upper edge downwards and follow the curves of the base. This creates an organic and almost sculptural pattern that looks different from various viewing angles.
The base has a classic vase-like silhouette: wide and rounded at the top and then subtly tapering toward the base. The combination of the light color, the relief, and the generous proportions gives the lamps an elegant look that fits both vintage and classic or eclectic interiors.
Above the ceramic base there is a slender neck on which the socket and shade construction are mounted.
Lampshades
Both lamps are fitted with matching fabric shades in light cream and beige tones. The fabric features a decorative floral/damask-like pattern, which becomes especially beautiful when the lamps are switched on.
The dark/beige trim along the upper and lower edges provides a subtle contrast and emphasizes the classic shape of the shades.
When the lamps are lit, the shades emit a particularly warm and pleasant golden light. The pattern in the fabric becomes even more visible, so the lamps function not only as a light source but also as decorative objects.
Atmospheric set
The great advantage of these lamps is that they are two matching pieces. As a pair they create a quiet and balanced composition.
They are for example very suitable for placement:
