This is a sought-after guilloché frame made in Flemish style in the second half of the 19th century. The structure features the typical ebonized "wave" workmanship, enriched with contrasting burl veneer geometric inlays that imitate the Baroque models of the Seicento, but executed with the technical and eclectic precision typical of the Victorian era

Si tratta di una ricercata cornice a ghiglioscé (guilloché) realizzata in stile fiammingo nella seconda metà dell'Ottocento (XIX secolo). La struttura presenta la tipica lavorazione "a onde" ebanizzata, arricchita da inserti geometrici in radica a contrasto che imitano i modelli barocchi del Seicento, ma eseguiti con la precisione tecnica ed eclettica tipica dell'epoca vittoriana
