Old heavy Soninke bronze mask from the Djenné region in Mali.
The top of the head is decorated with horizontal and vertical parallel lines.
The raised eyes are ringed. A snake descends from each eye.
Geometric scarifications appear on the temples.
The nose is straight and triangular. Narrow, protruding mouth.
The figure is bearded, its ears are semi-circular.
The patina is a bit greenish from oxidation.
Good condition.
