Eight opaline green glass cups with matching saucers in the Art Deco style, made by Arcopal in France (nord), dating to 1950–1960, like‑new condition, each cup/saucer measuring about 9 cm in diameter and 4.5 cm high with a 4 cm depth and weighing around 300 g.
Description from the seller
Cups and pastel green opaline saucers, 1950
This cup and its matching saucer are vintage tableware pieces in pastel green opaline (often called “mint green” or “jadeite”), typical of the Art Deco style and very popular in the 1950s.
Main features of this set
Design and relief: The cup is distinguished by its raised lines formed by parallel horizontal ridges, while the saucer features raised concentric circle motifs.
Iconic material: Made in opaque pressed molded glass or opaline, this dinnerware offers a milky and slightly translucent appearance when light passes through. It strongly recalls the famous American jadeite creations (such as the Fire-King brand) or retro French productions like Arcopal.
Common origin: These models very often bear the engraved mark “Made in France” molded directly under the base of the cup or the saucer
