Antique fire-gilded - Empire Borné pendule - Bronze - 1800-1850

A particularly beautiful antique fire-gilded bronze Empire Borné pendulum clock.

This clock is characterized by its fine, meticulously worked details, with several engraved accents (high-gloss parts) that gleam brilliantly in sunlight or candlelight.

The base is richly decorated with, among other things, two horns of plenty, classic symbols of prosperity, wealth, and abundance.

The pendulum dates from around 1800 and is fitted with a large, original early movement with a cord-spring and striking on a rack-wheel, a high-quality construction that is characteristic of the finest French clocks from this period.

The movement has recently been overhauled, so it is in excellent condition.

Of course, the pendulum runs properly and it is supplied with a pendulum, bell, key, and our guarantee of proper operation.
