Description from the seller

**Title**
Vintage Japanese Hand-Forged Kitchen Knives Set of 3 – Signed Blades – Traditional Wa-Bocho – Japan

**Item Description**
A set of three vintage Japanese kitchen knives (Wa-bocho), each featuring an engraved inscription on the blade.

The two wooden handles with labels are marked **「手打 本刃付」 (Teuchi Honbazuke)**, indicating hand-forged/hand-worked construction and a traditionally finished cutting edge. The blades also bear engraved inscriptions, adding to the traditional character of this attractive set.

The set consists of three different blade shapes and sizes, including a long, slender knife and two broader kitchen knives, making it an interesting collection of traditional Japanese cutlery.

These are **vintage used knives intended for collectors or buyers who would like to restore and maintain them**. Due to their age and previous use, the blades and handles show scratches, discoloration, oxidation/rust, stains, wear, and other signs of age. Sharpening, polishing, rust removal, and other maintenance may be required before practical use.

The aged surfaces and engraved blades give these knives an appealing authentic vintage appearance. They would make an interesting restoration project or addition to a collection of traditional Japanese kitchen tools.

Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition, blade shapes, inscriptions, and signs of wear. The photographs form an important part of the description.

**Size**
Overall length: approx. 26.7–33 cm
Blade width: approx. 3.1–4.8 cm
Spine thickness: approx. 0.3–0.7 cm

Please allow for slight measurement differences.

**Weight**
Approx. 500 g total for 3 knives
