Vintage plant stand / side table – Mid-Century – wooden legs – brass edge – 1950s/60s

A particularly nice and characterful vintage plant stand/table from the 1950s–1960s, executed in the typical Mid-Century style of that period.

The small table has a round top with a light, finely woven linen/fabric-like decorative print. Around the edge of the top there is a beautiful brass-colored metal rim, which over the years has developed a lovely natural patina. It is precisely this combination of the light top, the warm metal, and the wooden legs that gives the table its authentic vintage appearance.

The base consists of three diagonally inclined tapered wooden legs. This characteristic design is strongly associated with interior design from the fifties and sixties and gives the table an airy and elegant silhouette.

Originally this type of table is excellently suited as a plant stand or flower stand, but today it is just as attractive as a small side table, decorative table, or stand for a nice ceramic pot. The photos illustrate how beautifully a larger plant sits on the table. The depicted plant and pot are not part of the lot.

The top shows signs of use and some scratches appropriate for its age and use. The metal rim also has patina, discoloration, and signs of age in places. The wooden legs also show light signs of wear.
