Blake bust by Leblon-Delienne, a 2004 test press/validation prototype in unpainted white resin, depicting Francis Blake, about 29 cm high, in good condition with visible wear.
Description from the seller
Blake Bust – Leblon-Delienne – Test print / validation prototype – Unpainted white resin to be painted
Description
Rare bust of Francis Blake, an emblematic character from Blake and Mortimer created by Edgar P. Jacobs, produced by Leblon-Delienne.
This specimen has a notable peculiarity: it is in white resin, non-polychromed, and bears at its base the marking “ n° … / 777 ”, corresponding to the edition planned for the polychrome version, but with no individual number recorded.
This atypical configuration allows it to be presented as potentially a test print, a validation prototype or unpolished resin intended to be painted, prior to final commercial release.
An especially interesting piece for a Blake & Mortimer or Leblon-Delienne production collector, given its clearly divergent character from the commercially available, numbered copies.
