A unique piece, famous for the TV series "Mission Impossible”
In the United States, this device was sold under the brand name Craig 212. Produced by Sanyo: This specific recorder was designed and manufactured by Sanyo at the time. In various countries (including parts of Europe and Asia) the exact same model was released under the name Sanyo M212."This tape will self-destruct...": Whenever the mission was spoken, the famous line "This tape will self-destruct in five seconds" followed, after which smoke began to emerge from the device.
You will not see smoke; the radio is supplied with 6 new C batteries and is therefore ready to play.
Not all tapes have been listened to, but at least some test sounds can be heard.
