Description from the seller

Important set of three stained glass panels, datable to the early decades of the 20th century, of notable decorative and architectural interest.

The three stained glass panels, made with glass elements of substantial thickness assembled by lead came, feature a refined geometric composition characterized by the juxtaposition of numerous polychrome and translucent glasses. The palette includes different shades of green, yellow, amber, brown, red and gray, with variations in transparency and intensity that give the surfaces a peculiar material depth and a highly evocative luminous quality.

The compositional layout, strictly geometric but enriched by chromatic variety and by the different shapes of the individual tesserae, can be traced to the decorative taste of the early 1900s and lends itself well to being inserted in an period architectural context or reinterpreted within a contemporary interior design project.

Two panels are of the same size and are symmetrically intended for a coordinated composition; the third, ideally placed at the center of the ensemble, presents slightly larger dimensions. The three elements are independent and can therefore be used separately or reassembled into a single large stained glass window, a solution particularly interesting from a scenographic point of view.

The presence of thick glass, with rich tones and irregular surfaces, makes these stained glass windows especially interesting when traversed by natural light, enhancing the chromatic variations and yielding an effect typical of historic artistic stained glass.

A work of great presence, recommended for collectors, antique dealers, designers and interior designers seeking original early 20th-century elements to be used in a restoration, recovery or architectural valorization project.

Three authentic and independent elements, preserved as a testimony of a decorative glass production with a 20th-century taste, with notable possibilities of reuse and recomposition.
