An antique French tureen (legume) with a lid, made using the silver-plated technique in the neo-Rococo or Rocaille style (late 19th - early 20th centuries). Material and finish: Silver-plated metal with a characteristic shine, graceful relief edges and decorative handles adorned with a plant motif or elements in the form of acanthus leaves. Design: Oval body with a lid equipped with a figured handle-grip, and side cast handles for serving dishes. Purpose: Traditionally used in French table setting for serving soups, stews, or vegetable dishes. In good condition, there are small scratches and stains. silver plating 40c.
