Icon - Christ Pantocrator - Wood

This antique Orthodox icon depicts Christ Pantocrator (The Almighty) from the late 19th or early 20th century, measuring 22.5 x 18 x 2 cm.

Painted with tempera on a wooden panel, it features a traditional repoussé metal oklad (riza) that protects the sacred artwork, exposing only the holy face and hands. Christ is shown half-length in his divine majesty as the ultimate ruler and judge, raising his right hand in a traditional Orthodox blessing while holding the Book of Gospels in his left.

The piece is in good antique condition, showing beautiful age-related wear and a natural patina perfect for collectors.
