Coin of 50 Sen with a design rich in detail and strong symbolic charge, where the obverse shows a ceremonial altar framed by complex decorative elements inspired by traditional Khmer, highlighting the fineness of the engravings. The reverse presents a more orderly composition, with legend in French and the value in Khmer surrounded by a well-defined laurel crown. The specimen is in excellent condition, with intense original luster, clean fields and crisp reliefs, showing only minimal contact marks. Issued during the Kingdom of Cambodia, it reflects a stage of cultural assertion and balance between local tradition and Western influences in the mid-20th century.
