Russian Imperial Silver Thimble, 84 Standard, “R.B.” Monogram, c. 1900
An attractive Russian Imperial silver thimble, made of 84 zolotnik silver (875/1000) and dating from approximately 1900–1908.
The thimble has a finely worked dimpled body with decorative relief ornamentation around the shoulder and lower rim. The combination of the traditional sewing-thimble form and refined silverwork makes this a charming example of Russian Imperial period craftsmanship.
