Description from the seller

Chrome vintage magazine rack. In the Space Age style, modernism, inspired by Bauhaus, 60s–70s.

Origin: Germany
Material: chromed metal, steel
Color: silver, chrome
Condition: good vintage condition

Dimensions:
Width: 41 cm
Height: 32 cm
Depth: 28 cm

Elegant chrome vintage magazine rack from the 1960s–1970s.

The item stands out with a very distinctive, geometric construction made of chromed tubes. Large, circular side elements, a contoured handle, and an airy, open-weave basket create a striking, light-looking form typical of European modernist design and Space Age styling of the period.

The magazine rack is an interesting decorative piece even without magazines placed in it. It pairs perfectly with interiors in the Mid-Century Modern, modernist, Space Age styles, and those inspired by Bauhaus.

The chrome retains an attractive shine. The item bears natural signs of age and use, including scratches, discoloration, and localized signs of oxidation, especially around joints and welds. These are consistent with the age.
