Lanternier & Fils, Limoges – Coffee Set
Exquisite Limoges porcelain coffee set, crafted by the prestigious Lanternier & Fils manufactory, Art Deco style and period model, one of the patterns most appreciated for its refined oriental-inspired aesthetics. France, 1920s.
Decorated with a refined floral and geometric motif in green, red, orange and gold tones on a white background, following the house's characteristic style in the 1920s–1930s.
The cups feature a classic angular shape, and the plates are square with rounded corners, a distinctive design within Lanternier & Fils production. The set includes a coffee pot with lid, a milk jug, 11 cups and 11 plates, forming a complete and harmonious service.
On the base of the pieces appears the mark A. Lanternier & Co. – Limoges France, certifying its authenticity and provenance from one of the most recognized and valued manufactories of Limoges.
Very well preserved, over 90 years old, it retains vivid tones in the pattern and spectacular brightness of the high-quality set; note varnish wear at (sugar bowl not visible), two chips on the coffee pot and the saucer on the reverse side.
