Dining table - Marble, Wrought iron

A truly unique, three-piece sculptural design dining set in Art Nouveau / Brutalist style, dating from the 1970s (Art Nouveau Revival period). This rare set consists of a generous dining table and two perfectly matching design chairs. The absolute hallmark of this ensemble is the impressive, organically shaped base. The bronze/copper-colored, hand-forged metal mimics the natural branches of tree roots or plant tendrils, creating a beautifully flowing effect. This sculptural line extends seamlessly on the chairs from the legs to the backrest. The floating back cushions and seat cushions are upholstered with a comfortable, soft suede-look fabric in a light cream color. The entire set is in excellent and stable vintage condition with only very minimal, light signs of use appropriate to its age. An absolute statement piece for a modern, eclectic, or Brutalist interior design. Because of its heavy, solid quality and size, this lot must be picked up in Boom, Belgium.
