Set of 4 German stoneware beer steins with pewter lids – KING-Werk
Interesting set of 4 German beer steins in stoneware/ceramic, all adorned with relief decorations and pewter lids.
The lot includes notably two steins bearing KING / Made in Germany / Handmade Handpainted markings. One is decorated with an Alpine landscape featuring a mountain scene, the other with a Black Forest scene bearing the inscription “TRIBERG.” The other two feature traditional German motifs, including a romantic scene with a couple in a forest landscape.
The steins show varying degrees of relief, polychromy and decoration, which makes the overall piece appealing to a collector of German steins.
