The Canon FTb QL (1971) is a robust, all-mechanical 35mm SLR with TTL metering and Canon's Quick Loading system for fast, reliable film loading. It accepts both the FD lenses of its own era and the earlier FL series. Offered here with the Canon FL 50mm f/1.8 — the standard lens of the preceding generation, which mounts and shoots on the FTb but meters at working aperture rather than wide open.

Please read carefully. The battery check does not respond, and the prism shows deterioration which you will see when composing — it does not affect the film. The included lens is a Canon FL 50mm f/1.8, from the generation before FD: it mounts and shoots on the FTb, but you meter at working aperture rather than wide open, so the viewfinder darkens as you stop down. It also has haze around the edge of the rear element. The shutter itself fires correctly at all speeds — see the measured figures above — and fresh light seals have been fitted. Please review the photos before bidding.

The light seals (foam) have been replaced and the viewfinder has been cleaned internally.

Note: the lens supplied is an FL, the generation before FD. It mounts and shoots on the FTb, but metering is done at working aperture rather than wide open, so the finder darkens as you stop down.

Shipping
We ship via either FedEx or Japan Post (ePacket), whichever suits the destination and the parcel. With Japan Post your package is handed over to the local postal carrier in your country for final delivery.
