A particularly atmospheric collection of antique iron foam skimmers, originating from the traditional European kitchen. These kinds of utensils hung by the open fire or stove in the past and were used daily in the preparation of food.

Foam skimmers were used to skim foam, fat and impurities from broth and other dishes, but also to lift food from boiling water or hot fat. The openwork head allowed moisture to drain back directly into the pan.

Authentic craftsmanship

The items are made of iron and have the characteristic long stems found on early kitchen tools. The construction and finish clearly show the artisanal character of such old utensils.
