Description from the seller
Elegant and exclusive vintage desk accessory for top management, dating from the 1970s. This object combines the function of a manual perpetual calendar with that of a fountain pen holder (stiloforo), representing a perfect example of Italian modernity and Office Design from the Space Age era. The central body is beautifully crafted in brushed aluminum, enriched by side inserts and rotating knobs in dark solid wood. The inner rollers are manually operated to update the days of the week (in Italian: GIOVEDÌ, etc.), the numbers, and the months.
On the right stands the original fountain pen holder.
A piece with a geometric and minimalist design, strongly influenced by the famous office creations of Italian designers of the period such as Gino Valle and Enzo Mari. Ideal for embellishing professional studios, interiors in a modernist style, or to be included in a collection of historical writing objects.
