Description from the seller
BODYWORK & PAINTWORK
The BMW E46 M3 Convertible has been completely professionally restored and repainted in the original factory color Imola Red. The paint is in exceptional condition: even, deep, glossy, and free of scratches, dents, or discoloration. During the restoration, several rubbers were replaced preventively, ensuring all doors, windows, and the soft top close perfectly.
The body shows no rust and there is no welding visible or necessary. All panels fit tightly and the car displays a very neat fit around it. The chrome work and window surrounds are clean, free of oxidation, and in excellent condition. The hardtop is included and equipped with a new headliner.
TECHNICAL
Technically, this BMW M3 is in excellent condition. The engine starts immediately, both cold and warm, and runs smoothly with no abnormal noises or irregularities. The manual transmission shifts cleanly and without resistance, and the clutch engages properly as it should. There are no leaks from the engine, transmission, or differential.
Recently, the drive shafts were replaced, as well as the rear wheel bearings and the wheel hubs, making the rear axle construction again completely fresh and free of play. The suspension feels solid and stable, with no clattering or creaking sounds. The car drives straight, stops powerfully, and shows no technical issues. Tires, belts, and rubbers are in good condition and do not require immediate replacement. This M3 is fully roadworthy and requires no maintenance in the near term.
INTERIOR
The interior is in New Condition. The leather sport seats show no wear, tears, or discoloration and still offer the original firm support. The electric seat adjustment works fully and smoothly. The soft top has been renewed and closes perfectly, both mechanically and visually. The headliner of the hardtop is new.
All electrical components function as they should: windows, air conditioning, blower, heating, radio, onboard computer, gauges, and controls. The dashboard is free of cracks and the carpet is clean, including under the floor mats. The interior exudes the look of a carefully maintained and fully restored M3.
DOCUMENTS
The car is delivered with Dutch registration and valid MOT (APK) until 06-05-2027. There are several documents available, including proof of performed work, invoices for parts, maintenance notes, and registration documents. All sensitive information such as addresses and phone numbers is of course concealed. If desired, additional photos of documentation can be added for extra transparency to buyers.
PICKUP
The car can be collected in the Netherlands. The M3 is delivered clean, dry, and fully road-ready. A viewing in advance is possible, but bidders primarily assess the car via the photo report — therefore an extensive and clear set of photos is essential.
OTHER INFORMATION
This specimen is a collector-grade BMW M3 Cabrio in a rare color scheme. The car is fully original, with no aftermarket modifications, and has been carefully and attentively restored. Thanks to the combination of Imola Red, manual transmission, hardtop, and pristine condition, this is a particularly attractive specimen for collectors and enthusiasts. The car is turn-key: no work, no worries, ready to drive.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
