DESCRIPTION Rare complete set of two booklets of traditional Chinese painting (Huapu) dating from the end of the Qing Dynasty. This is the famous collection of drawing models by artist Sha Fu (better known as Sha Shanchun, 1831-1906), an iconic figure of the prestigious Shanghai School. Edition and Date: Truly original edition from the period, published precisely in the middle of spring 1897 (Dingyou year of Guangxu) in Shanghai.
