Otodus megalodon specimen from Sukabumi, Indonesia, dating to the Pleistocene epoch of the Quaternary, with a restored condition and authentic renovated original.
Description from the seller
Not every Megalodon tooth stands out for its size; some catch the eye with their exceptional color. This is one such specimen. It is 8.6 cm in size.
This Otodus megalodon from Sukabumi possesses a rare green-blue enamel that, depending on the lighting, shifts from deep olive green to blue-gray. Just above the root runs a natural golden mineralization band, giving the crown a striking color gradient that you encounter only sporadically. It is precisely this combination that makes the tooth immediately recognizable and favored by collectors of unusual color variants.
The crown has a powerful, almost perfectly symmetrical shape with an elegant tip. The fine serrations run nicely along both cutting edges, giving the tooth a sharp, refined look. The enamel has a beautiful natural luster in which the original growth lines are still subtly visible, adding extra character to the fossil.
The sturdy gray fossilized root forms a beautiful contrast with the intensely colored crown. The combination of cool gray, green-blue enamel, and the warm golden band creates a color play that is rarely so harmonious among Sukabumi specimens.
Where many Megalodon teeth impress with their size, this specimen stands out precisely for its aesthetics. The distinctive color, the strong contrast between crown and root, and the refined details make it a tooth that is not only a fossil but also a striking display piece. For collectors seeking a Megalodon with its own character and a color you do not encounter every day, this is a particularly attractive specimen.
