Otodus megalodon fossil tooth (specimen: Megalodon) from Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia, dating to the Quaternary—Pleistocene (2.58–0.0117 million years ago), natural and unrestored, 12.5 cm high, 8.5 cm wide, 3.5 cm deep, 200 g, authentic/original.
Description from the seller
This impressive Otodus megalodon of 12.5 cm is a beautiful example of the exceptional fossils from Sukabumi, West Java (Indonesia). The specimen is completely natural and unrestored; no glue, reconstructions, or updated parts, exactly as nature has preserved it for millions of years.
The first glance immediately draws attention to the distinctive ivory-white crown with warm honey and pale golden accents. This striking color combination arises from a unique mineralization process during fossilization and belongs to the less common color variants of Indonesian Megalodon teeth. As a result, the tooth has an elegant and exclusive appearance that immediately stands out among the more typical dark specimens.
The crown is broad and strong with a sharp point and finely preserved serrations along almost the entire cutting edge. The natural gloss of the enamel accentuates the subtle growth lines and gives the tooth a lively appearance. The solid root is completely present and beautifully fossilized, with a robust texture that nicely contrasts with the light crown.
With its impressive size, exceptional color, and fully original condition, this fossil represents everything collectors seek in a high-quality Megalodon tooth: authenticity, aesthetics, and rarity.
An exceptionally beautiful museum-quality specimen with a rare light color, excellent preservation, and a powerful presence, a true showstopper that easily distinguishes itself within any serious Megalodon collection.
