The Lenco L-247 is a belt-drive system, fully automatic hi-fi turntable introduced in May 1978. Designed in Switzerland as the brand's fourth fully automatic model, it was developed specifically to compete with the popular models from rival manufacturer Dual. Key technical specifications:
Drive type: Belt drive.
Motor: 16-pole synchronous motor.
Speeds: 33-1/3 and 45 RPM. Speed adjustment: Mechanical speed control (±3%) supported by a mechanical stroboscope system for 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequencies.
Operation: Fully automatic (automatic start, tonearm positioning, and return functions). Tonearm: Low-mass tonearm with a revamped anti-skating adjustment system and optimized platter bearing.
Platter: Aluminum platter weighing approximately 0.85 kg.
Construction: Independent chassis/plinth sharing the same dust cover design as contemporary models such as the L-236 or L-744DD.
