Tea kettle - Copper, Brass - Antique kettle

Antique copper kettle handmade, bulbous in shape, with a domed lid topped by a brass baluster knob. The pouring spout is made entirely of cast brass, with the characteristic S-shaped curve. The handle, forged wrought iron with a copper tube grip, is attached to the body by sturdy hinges.

The body features a decorative band with incised/embossed motifs (vegetal and lozenge geometric elements) on the lower part, while the upper part is smooth and hand-hammered, with clear traces of artisanal work. The patina is uneven, with zones of bright copper alternating with brown-green oxidation, typical of natural metal aging.
