Moroccan Azurite on matrix - Height: 11.2 cm - Width: 8.6 cm- 382 g - (1)

This specimen comes from supposedly Bou Bekker, but probably it came from nearby. I had seen a few of these a while ago, but the Moroccan dealers I was trying to buy from were extremely unreasonable with their pricing. Fortunately, I did snag a couple pieces in the last collection I purchased from a friend that was a lot luckier than I was. The specimen itself consists of a round fragment of breccia matrix on which small velvety azurite rosettes are embedded within the clastic kaolinite-dominant cement of the breccia. There are also hints of malachite, but nothing as prominent as the azurite.
