Tea caddy/ box - Wood, Hand-painted

Two Japanese wooden chests with a beautifully decorated lid in Art Deco style from the mid-20th century.
Under the scene it says TEA, indicating that the chests were for the European market.

Both objects show signs of wear. Small lacquer damage, stains, but the overall condition is good. Please look closely at the photos. They show the true condition of the objects.
