Fetish figure - DR Congo

Beautiful example of a Songye fetish. The statue has a particularly powerful presence due to the curvature of the figure that continues into the horn. The mirror is meant to ward off illness. The whole piece is carved very carefully by a master sculptor.
The statue is generally in good condition with a few drying cracks and part of the base is broken.
