For sale is a genuine milestone in Italian lighting design: the large design desk lamp “Tizio 50,” designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide (Milan, Made in Italy). The model captivates with its timeless, minimalist black aesthetic and the innovative, wireless power routing directly through the slender arm joints. The lamp is perfectly balanced by counterweights. This exemplar has the original matte glass protective plate in front of the halogen bulb fully preserved and intact.

Condition and patina (please note):
The lamp is in used, honest vintage condition with signs of aging:
Lamp head: The plastic housing of the reflector head shows the heat-induced cracks and pronounced craquelure typical of older halogen models (see close-up photos). This is purely a surface defect caused by decades of heat from the bulb; the housing is structurally stable.

Technique: The mechanics and hinges work flawlessly and hold every position. The electronics are fully functional.

Markings: On the underside of the transformer base there is the original white serial-number imprint 2464042358 as well as all factory stamps.
