Description from the seller
No reserve price
Magnificent bracelet of Peruvian turquoise pearls combined with small spheres of 18-karat yellow gold (same material as its olive-shaped clasp).
Peruvian turquoise is a rare form of the gemstone chrysocolla. It presents a greener and veined tone than common turquoise. It has been the sacred stone of the South American Incas for centuries. It is traditionally used in Peru today as an ornamental stone for the production of spiritual amulets.
For almost a thousand years, Native Americans have been mining turquoise and making their sacred jewelry with it. They believe that their minds connect with the universe when wearing a turquoise amulet. There is an ancient belief that the color of turquoise is affected by the physical and mental condition of the person who wears it. It is said that the color fades when its owner is sick or sad, and that it loses all color when a person dies. Conversely, if the owner is happy and healthy, the turquoise color is more saturated.
Currently, and due to its particular beauty, its use is widespread in both jewelry and metalworking and costume jewelry.
This bracelet is a new piece of jewelry (however, to assess its condition yourself please observe the photographs carefully, they are part of the description).
