French aluminum desk lamp – 1950s

Elegant desk lamp of French origin, dating roughly to the 1950s, made of aluminum and with a late Art Deco / industrial aesthetic, characteristic of the transition to Mid-Century design.

The lamp features an especially attractive construction, with a circular stepped base adorned with successive concentric ribs, repeated on the domed metal shade. The assembly is completed by a flexible metal gooseneck-type neck, allowing the light source to be oriented in different positions.

It has a small switch integrated into the base and retains its functional character as a desk or work lamp.

The silver finish of the aluminum and the geometric, functional shapes give it an industrial aesthetic that is very characteristic of French design in the mid-20th century.
