Antique Victorian-style wooden coffee table and newspaper stand from the United Kingdom, dating to circa 1930–1940, with a brown finish, dimensions 59 cm high by 47 cm wide by 29 cm deep, weight about 5 kg, featuring an upper surface suitable as a coffee table or telephone table and a lower storage for magazines and newspapers, in excellent condition with two very thin scratches on the top.
Description from the seller
Vintage-style wooden newspaper stand. This practical and decorative piece of furniture combines two main functions: Upper storage surface: It functions as a coffee table or telephone table, where you can place a remote control, coffee cup or decorative items. Lower newspaper stand: A storage compartment bordered by turned or straight wooden sticks, which serves as an aesthetic storage for magazines, newspapers and books. This type of solid wood furniture, typically in dark tones (such as mahogany or walnut), is a popular addition to classic, mid-century modern and retro interiors.
Material: Typically made of solid oak, walnut or mahogany.
Age: Pieces of this type of furniture most often date from the late 19th century or mid-20th century (for example, the 1950s).
It is in absolutely good condition, a nice, delicate piece.
There are two very thin scratches on the top, not really disturbing and visible.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
