We offer for sale an ancient carved and polychromed wooden sculpture depicting the Madonna with Child, probably produced during the Spanish colonial period.

Circa 1800

The work shows a beautiful patina of age with traces of the original polychromy in red and blue tones. Wear, loss of color, and small defects are consistent with the object's age and attest to its authenticity.

The Madonna is depicted in a frontal position with a crown, while she holds the Child on her right arm. The sculpture preserves a notable devotional charm and is ideal for both collectors of sacred art and as a distinctive decorative piece.
