Superb officer's clock (also called a travel pendulum) in polished gilt brass from the famous Haute Horlogerie manufacturer L'Épée 1839. Case: Classic "Corniche" style case in heavy gilt brass, equipped with 5 beveled glass panes offering full visibility of the beauty of the internal mechanism. The top is fitted with a visible platform escapement and a mobile articulated carrying handle. Dial: White enamel, in perfect condition. It displays the hours in Roman numerals and has a smaller auxiliary dial at the bottom for setting the alarm function. Hands of the original style. Movement: High-precision mechanical movement signed L'Épée, manufactured in France (Sainte-Suzanne). Mechanical condition: The clock is in perfect working order. The movement runs and keeps time, the alarm chime triggers correctly. Accessories included: Sold complete with its original winding key. Authenticity: Original black and gold seal/stamp "L'Épée 1839" affixed to the top of the case.
