Description from the seller
Refined Richard Ginori porcelain table service, expression of the elegant and measured taste of Italian Art Deco. The service is distinguished by the purity of its shapes and by the delicate balance between geometric rigor and decorative richness, features that made the production of the historic Doccia manufactory famous in the period between the 1920s and 1930s.
Important white porcelain dinner service, of elegant and refined taste, adorned along the edges with a thin geometric decoration of small repeated motifs, executed in tones of silver and gold. The decoration, essential yet sophisticated, gives the service a particularly gentlemanly appearance, linked to the Art Deco taste and the high-end productions of the first half of the twentieth century.
The ensemble stands out for the sobriety of the white background, enhanced by the subtle ornamental border, and for a place setting of great elegance. It is a service suitable for both daily representation use and a formal table, but also particularly interesting for porcelain and antique tableware collectors.
The service comprises 24 pieces and consists of:
6 flat plates
6 deep plates
6 antipasto plates
1 soup tureen
1 cake stand
1 gravy boat
1 round tray
2 oval trays of different sizes
Good overall condition, gold slightly worn on some plates. The round tray shows a small chip, but being on the reverse side it is not visible when the tray is placed down.
