Ford Anglia 1961 with a 996 cc four-cylinder engine producing 49 hp, manual transmission, Italian registration, matching numbers and colour, green body, 72,405 km, MOT valid until 2027-04-30, located in Italy.
Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Italian-origin original registration and only 3 historic owners
• Bodywork preserved with repainting carried out in 2006
• Original interiors in synthetic vinyl leather never repaired
• Mechanically well preserved with annual routine maintenance and last service in 2024
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The Ford Anglia represents one of the most distinctive and famous British family cars of the 1960s, made unmistakable by the characteristic inverted-angle rear window. This example, first registered in Italy in 1961, is equipped with a 996 cc four-cylinder engine delivering 49 HP paired with a 4-speed manual transmission plus reverse. The car has had only 3 owners in its history, has been carefully stored indoors in a garage with regular checks and records an indicated mileage of 72,405 km.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
The bodywork is presented in green, the subject of a repainting performed in 2006. A slightly lighter shade is noted on the rear hood. From the photos, one can observe the presence of old black province license plates (VC). The chromed trims are in excellent bright condition. The shell has never undergone welding repairs; the underbody and floors remain intact, albeit with minor and inevitable signs of superficial rust. The tires are in good condition.
INTERNI:
The cabin preserves the original Ford interior in synthetic vinyl leather, never subjected to repairs. The headliner is in good condition. The car is not fitted with a radio; the onboard instrumentation, indicators, cabin fan, lights, and main electrical controls are functional.
MECCANICA:
The car is powered by the 996 cm³ four-cylinder engine, paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The engine is in good condition and starts reliably both from cold (with the aid of the choke) and from hot. The braking system is equipped with drum brakes and is efficient by the standards of its era. Belts recently replaced, regular suspension and a clutch with wear within normal limits. The car has undergone annual routine maintenance with the last service performed in 2024.
DOCUMENTI:
The car is delivered with its original Italian documentation and with the available receipts/documents relating to maintenance performed.
The vehicle is viewable and collectible in Taranto, Italy, by appointment. It is recommended to inspect the vehicle before submitting an offer. Costs related to the transfer of ownership, documentation for export, or transport are the responsibility of the buyer."

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
