Grand Francine dinner service, Badonviller Faience Works, early 20th century

Description:
A very complete faience dinner service from the famous French factory Badonviller, the iconic Francine model. Dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1905), this service perfectly embodies the rustic-chic charm of the Belle Époque with its delicate pastoral decoration consisting of blue cornflower bouquets and green foliage, highlighted by fine blue borders.

Each piece bears the authenticity stamp of the faience works; the letter "F" at the center of these marks refers to Théophile Fenal, director of the manufactory.

Composition of the service (52 pieces):
32 flat plates (diameter: 22.5 cm)
11 deep plates (diameter: 22 cm)
1 large circular platter (diameter: 31.5 cm)
1 circular platter (diameter: 26.5 cm)
1 large tureen with lid (30.5 x 15 cm)
1 large oval platter (37.5 x 27 cm)
2 raviers (22 x 15 cm)
1 hollow plate (diameter: 26.5 cm)
2 small hollow plates (diameter: 25 cm)

Condition:
The set is in very good condition, reflecting careful use over the decades.
Note: Some plates have very small enamel chips on the outer rim (invisible in use on the drinking side).
The tureen also has a few small enamel chips on the edges (see photos).
Apart from these minor signs of wear, the glaze is vibrant and the floral decoration is pristine.
